Mummy Costume
Another great idea for Halloween is to dress up in a mummy costume. There are some wonderful and scary mummy costumes available that will make you look that you have just risen from the dead!
A great one for kids is the Mummy Child costume shown on the left which includes a creepy hooded shirt with a mummy wrap design, matching pants and attached shoe covers with two mummy ties. Just add the scary make up to complete the look.
Another great costume for your wild child or teen is the Gothic Mummy costume shown on the right. It features
a dramatic dress with hanging lace and mummy wrap embellishments, attached petticoat, matching corset and beautifully draped neck wrap. She’ll certainly get everyone to stop dead in their tracks!
So what exactly is a mummy? A mummy is a body of a person or even animal that has been preserved after death. This process was common in ancient Egyptian times when the bodies of Kings, Queens and anyone who could afford it were embalmed as they believed that mummifying a person’s body after death ensured a safe passage to the afterlife.
Did you know that mummification in ancient Egypt was a very expensive and long process? It took about seventy days to embalm a body from start to finish. The body had to be washed and ritually purified; the organs and brain were then removed and the body cavity was stuffed with natron, a mineral salt, which dries the body out prevents it from decaying. After about forty days the natron is removed to reveal a dried, shrunken body which is then stuffed with packing. The body is then prepared for bandaging and adorned with gold, jewels and protective amulets. The body is further wrapped with long, narrow strips of linen which are glued together. It is only then that the mummy is ready for burial.
For the grown ups, there are also some great costumes. Why not try the Mummy Adult Costume shown on the left with its bandaged looking white top and pants, and rather gruesome skull mask. Or if you fancy a stylish royal queen outfit, then take a look at the Mummy Queen costume 
shown on the right which mimics a mummification wrap and has a bright headpiece. There’s also a matching printed collar and belt.

I love your idea for a Mummy Queen Costume!! I like how it still gives a sexy appeal but also looks like you are all wrapped up as a mummy.
