Gruesome Zombie Costumes

thriller

Why not be a zombie this Halloween and enter the world of the living dead. Have fun looking like a reanimated corpse or mindless human being. Who can forget the zombie dance in Michael Jackson’s music video “Thriller” when he and his fellow zombies perform an elaborate song and dance number?

So, if it’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurking in the dark you can pay tribute to the late great Michael Jackson by wearing the Michael Jackson Thriller Costume. The costume is great with a fully reversible blood red replica of the famous jacket and matching pants. All you need to add is a black wig and zombie make-up to cause a thrill.

Zombies have long been featured in popular culture, none more so than in horror movies.skeletonzombie One of the most successful is the 1968 film, Night of the Living Dead, where a group of people hide from hordes of bloodthirsty zombies. Another top zombie movie is Dawn of the Dead (1978) which follows an ever-growing epidemic of zombies have risen from the dead.

If you really want to scare everyone this Halloween then get out the crypt and try one of the other fantastic zombie costumes. A great one is the creepy Skeleton Zombie Adult costume shown on the righ that includes a skeleton mask, shirt showing a rib cage, pants and gloves.

Let’s not forget the young zombies. A great favourite is the Zombie Complete Child costume shown on the right that includes a particularly gory outfit with body parts oozing from the shirt and pants, a zombiecompletechildzombie mask and gray wig. This is really frightening stuff!

Look like you’ve just risen from the dead and do the zombie walk through your neighbourhood this Halloween in one of the many fantastic zombie costumes.

My personal favorite in the zombie genre of film is Resident Evil. Resident Evil started out as a game on the Sony Play Station in 1996 but it was made into a film in 2002 in which the heroine Alice (played by Milla Jovovich) and a group of Umbrella Corporation commandos try to escape a secret underground facility which is filled with zombies after a virus has been let loose. It was followed by two sequels Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) and Resident Evil: Extinction (2007).

These films have given the zombie genre a new life. The last of the series was inspired to some extent by the Mad Max movies and occurs in the desert. Most of the action is in daylight and there is a new breed of zombie who can move quite fast.

I hope you’re inspired to choose one of these zombie costumes this Halloween!
